The clinic which is open daily except Sundays and can offer early and late appointment times to suit your availability as well as emergency treatment and domiciliary wherever possible.
We offer treatment for all muscular joint, nerve and spinal conditions. It is our policy to thoroughly assess your condition on the first attendance so that the correct treatment can be executed as quickly as possible.
What happens if you are in severe pain.
Initially prioritising the treatment towards pain relief is important. Physio will work gently on the painful structure using treatments such as electrotherapy, acupuncture, soft tissue techniques, joint mobilisation and supportive taping to alleviate pain. Physio will also work on neighbouring structures to help restore normal movement patterns. Advise on how to off load painful structures is critical at this stage- giving damaged tissue the appropriate rest in the first 5 to 10 days can help guarantee a quicker recovery. Rest may be in the form of taping, positioning with pillows, laying a certain way but your physio will guide you as to what is best. However, physio can be beneficial at the first sign of a problem and can stop a minor niggle developing into a major problem which leaves you unable to carry out normal daily activities work and sport.
